The funny thing that the Queen was laughing at was after the King said our aim must be straight and true her sister signed something about hitting a certain spot, named after a certain letter of the alphabet. At least that's what my dirty little mind thinks she said. I can't read sign language. The story is true. You were not only hearing it from Verin. Calum was reading the same story in the letter from the king.

I adore the introduction of Viren's new friend. Sooo much is told about both the characters and the magic. And all of it just through the animation, the music and the subtext. Everything from the way he crushes he rock effortlessly to his smile to the way he holds the dagger. It is the best singular scene in the show in my opinion. I put it right beneath the RWBY Vol. 6 finale in terms of visual story telling(I think it is higher because of the emotion impact it had on Vol. 6). Seriously though I give a lot of credit to the animators, they are great and I love the work they do. I really want to talk about another scene I love but that will have some pretty big spoilers.

I think they made it very clear why Rayla didn't tell them. Telling someone that someone they care about is dead is difficult, especially when you don't know if you could have done anything to prevent it. How do you think Doctors and Nurses feel when they have to tell their patient's family that they died. It's even more difficult when it's the police, because they didn't just fail to save someone, they were actively involved in their death. Initially Rayla just wanted them to trust her, but she became their friend and started to care about them, it became harder to tell them because she didn't want to hurt them. Look at how Claudia responded to telling Callum.
