Haha, your reaction to episode 48 was amazing. So much emotion, so much info dropping. Jellal is in the etherion stuff that Erza was in. That's how Natsu was able to get her out because Jellal went into it first and channeled the etherion's power back into the sky. The blue-haired girl is important. I find it interesting that the anime made her the fateful encounter, though, but it works out since you meet her soon. You should read the omake that this episode is based on. Natsu actually was Lucy's fateful encounter (it had been a year since they met and she joined Fairy Tail), but what I really like about it is that Lucy also chose what fate had already given her, if that makes any sense.

The same thing will happen with SOA. netflix only has 2 seasons of it so you will have to use crunchyroll or funimation going forward. I think it's only in sub , but that shouldn't matter with the format you have now. That series is good in dub and sub and has more accurate subtitles than Fairytale

Looking at the Funimation subtitles you can watch the sub or the dub (even if you depend on the subs) The subs on the netflix one seem to be possibly a direct japanese translation...and the actual voice work writing for the dub did NOT do that. The fairy tail dub is pretty good.

I haven't caught up to the series yet so this is all pure speculation but my standing theory is that Laxsus' relationship with his father is like Azula's relationship with her father. The idea roughly being that his father basically turned Laxsus into his idea of perfect and as a consequence gave Laxsus a backwards idea of a healthy relationship as well as giving him an intense fear of vulnerability. And when his father left he started loosing his sense of identity. and then Makarov acted as Laxsus' Iroh trying to steer him back down the right path. Or maybe I'm wrong... we'll find out eventually.

So you're aware the funimation website version of the dub has subtitles you just have to turn them on in the settings. For some reason it has it for fairy tail but not one piece.
