A really dark theory alot of people have about this episode. Is that When Steven was close to falling, the reason Pearl ignores it is because in her grief she's wanting Steven to fall to his death so that his mother will possibly come back from the gem.

This was my favorite episode for a long time. Might even still be. If I ever want to try to get someone to watch SU I get them to watch this episode.

Once you finish the series, I would suggest coming back to this episode. It is MANY times worse once you know the full story.
