May 2019 - Killian & Lucia on a Shag Rug ;) (Patreon)

The winners of last month's poll! Killian and Lucia, shagging on a shag rug, because why not? I'm a fan of half-dressed, they were too in a rush to properly undress scenes, so here we are.

Before I breakdown the voting, I have to admit that I'm going to be struggling to get through things after my holiday, and unfortunately the pinup tier has been taking me longer and longer as time goes on. So as forewarning, I won't be able to do a poll/pinup for this month (I understand if you need to drop/minimize your pledge in the mean time). I'll get back to it next month, when hopefully I'll be able to 'reset' as it were.

When I look back, I can see it's because I've become more detail-oriented and that this has made the paintings take longer and longer. I'm considering retiring this perk because I'm just not sure I can keep up with it (and I've almost done one of all my major characters so far), but perhaps instead I'll start speed painting to see if I can't develop a style that's less time-intensive? It's hard to say because I don't want to sacrifice quality necessarily, but I'm not sure I'm happy with the direction my style's taken for these paintings either and experimentation might be good to loosen myself up? Let me know what you think!

Beautiful! I love those intertwined tails, and all the textures are so lush you can almost feel them. I'd be very excited to see you try a looser speed-painting approach - your detailed work is gorgeous, but it's always great to see one of my favorite artists trying something new! I definitely wouldn't mind seeing everyone get a second pinup. Alternately, I'd understand if you do decide to stop doing them. It's a pleasure getting one of these every month, but it's the work that an artist is most excited about doing that I always want to see the most. Whatever direction you decide to go, I hope the break gives you plenty of time to catch up, rest, and think!

I'm really happy they won, Lucia is really a beautiful char and I've seen so few times. Your works are always of superhigh quality both in concept and realisation, you're one of my favourite artist and I have loved your works from ages. I can only hope you keep up the good work!!

Oh that's good to hear! I'm definitely interested in experimenting a little, just always afraid that people will want me to stick with what I know already. I'll see what I can't do in the coming months to experiment with looser styles!
