I've stayed at Treasure Island. Nice. Not sure if they still do the pirate battle show - I think it might just be the legacy of the ships that they left in place. One of the draws of the place was the relatively subdued, calm casino bit that you have to walk through. Not interested in gambling or the noise and jarring lights of endless slots. Amazing syncronicity, on the plane back to LA I sat next to the daughter of the interior designer of TI, who was pleased that I partly chose it on the basis of it's design. Its a small world ! TI is also very centrally located on strip, making many other attractions within an easy walk.
