Stay strong Eric, there are all types of people out there. I'm always impressed by how stupid some people are, that's something that will probably always amaze me. Once you realize not everyone gets to be smart, things are more easily accepted as being, "the way they are".

You could rig the dumpster to capture and 'eat' them next time, employing a motorised lid and grab arms to pull them inside. Activated by sophisticated sensors, the advanced anti-crackhead dumpster would do a great service to the community and noone would even realise they are gone.

Don't forget you can contest the amount that the insurance says you are covered for for. They don't expect people to do that and they will try to low ball. Go to quality places not the cheapest you can find. If you can get 3 amounts that are higher than their estimate they will adjust.
