Actually I’m kind of surprised the liberals here in California still allow us to call them killer whales.

They are such magnificent animals. I’m surprised that Blackfish hasn’t shut down Sea World. Personally I won’t give support to them but I am not hating on those who do.

@ginger Bruce it’s a documentary about the abuses of the animals at sea world. Also the unsafe conditions and death of their trainers

I was going to say something snarky but then I thought about it. I will just say Eric is who he is and he’s allowed to have an opinion- as are you! If you disagree, I would encourage you to ask yourself why you disagree and if you still feel strongly enough to leave- then do so. As I said above, I don’t support Sea World but I don’t hate those that do. I may not agree with someone’s views political but I am trying to be better by listening and moving on if it’s not my thing

Yeah- I went to Sea World when I was really little and I wanted to have a pet dolphin so bad! Haha. I also saw how many dolphins died at an aquarium here in Phoenix and just realized out of respect for the animals- I just wouldn’t support organizations that make them a show.

2022-08-24 20:14:11 It’s a very sensitive issue for me. I had gone my whole life up to the age of 13…but. I know they’re going to discontinue these shows soon. I do want to go to the Pacific Northwest to see them in the wild someday. I have had many wonderful lucid dreams of swimming with the orca & once in a blue moon they are in Hawaiian waters. Once while the ashes of one of my students were being spread out in the ocean. I appreciate the pictures, Eric. Be safe & thank you for sharing. 🌎 ☮️ & Aloha Everyone

Welp, they ARE killers. Google Tillicum. They also play with their food on occasion (tossing seals into the air). But what's really cool about them is, like Harris hawks, they hunt cooperatively. But I get sad to see the dorsal fins of captive animals bent over from going around in circlein too small of pools.
