Brilliant film, and so heartbreaking.

Mysterious Cat

That movie kind of puts RVers problems in perspective. Another recent WW1 movie worth seeking is the remake of the German classic, All Quiet on the Western Front. I find WWII far more interesting and a lot easier to get my mind round. WWI is in some ways utterly bizarre. The scale and senslessness of the slaughter and the reasons for it in the first place. Just nuts. If you're interested in a museum to it, the National WWI Museum and Memorial, is in Kansas City MO. In London the Imperial War Museum has good exhibits. In areas of Belgium and France there are beattlefield sites and huge cemetaries to visit. LOTR fans, did you know Tolkein drew upon his experiences of trench warfare and muddy landscapes littered with bodies, in writing the descriptions of various battles and their aftermath.
