Anonymous

When do we see your actual nugget collection in action? Don't wanna push you... No really... Okay maybe a little bit xD

Evan Hartmann

80s cars are fun but I won’t know what a stock 83 Cadillac deville is like because mine was immediately turned into a hearse out of the factory. But I say this is better.

Anonymous

By the way, now that I'm reading this I'm gonna be sad when you don't call a video "Nugget collection in action".

Anonymous

More smoke than a pair of dirtybuds hooked up to the Diablo.

Old man yells at old cars.

Excited about this week's headphone video. Nuggets are fun, but headphones and iPods are where it's at in my opinion

Anonymous

I am a Volvo driver myself. Got one from an ex official Saab garage and got a big Saab Moose with it. I heard they where great cars.

Anonymous

Saab still makes planes though. They are having quite the success with the JAS-39 Gripen

My dad used to be a mechanic and I saw so many of these cars come in back in the day! This has been super nostalgic, thanks, Wade.

OzRetrocomp

I'm showing my age here, but am I the only one here that went straight to George Ambrose's Dirty Wheels column whenever picking up the latest issue of Wheels?

Anonymous

Anonymous

Man those falcons were sold over here in Uk as 4th and 5th gen Ford Cortina's but we never got a big ole V8 :(

Anonymous

I have no interest in cars, but you seem to have a way to make anything entertaining. Anyway, I was born in 1978 so yeah.

Anonymous

Hey there! Are you planning a review on Sony LinkBuds? They seem kinda awesome

Anonymous

We had one of those old Saabs when I was a kid! Don't know if it's the exact same model but they look very similar. Still drive a Saab, an old one but not quite as old. Don't know how it's still going tbh

Anonymous

hey dank u should try them foam tips for ur airpods pro they rlly made mine not fall and like stuck on there and it might be a placebo affect but i feel like it made the noise canceling better

Anonymous

Holy shit, I'd put so money towards a Mighty Car Mods collab focused on your Niki!

Anonymous

Never been a huge car guy, but my first car (and only car) is a '89 Volvo 240 that my dad bought off a client for under $4,000 at 81,000 miles. She's my most prized possession and I get so many comments about her from other car people and it makes me feel cool :)

Anonymous

Hey man, just wanted to say I bought a pair of Meze 99 Classics based on your reviews of them, and man you are completely right. I never heard the bongo man on September before using those head phones. They are amazing, never had a pair of headphones with such good sound before. Thanks for making me step out of my comfort zone in price and find something I really wish I had bought earlier.

Fault Breccia

Had the same at the time here in the uk with GM vs Ford but ours was the Vauxhall Cavalier and the Ford Cortina eventually the Sierra.

Anonymous

So fun watching you geek over cars as I am a car nut myself. I am honestly envious of some of the cars u guys got in Australia. I wish there was some cheap V8 box wagon thing you could get here in the US. Side note I'm glad you also hate GM.

Anonymous

sick cars m8

Anonymous

Funny you mention car brands GM killed. I’m the US we only got the Commodore and the Monaro for a couple years as Pontiacs 😂😂

Anonymous

Love the nugget cars.

Azguella

I'm sold on the bullworker does it help me grow glorious handlebar mustache too?

Anonymous

rip the australian car industry

Anonymous

Hey man. Can you check out the different kinds of sleep bands? Silly headbands with headphones in them.

Anonymous

Those poor, poor PKCELL's 🙏

Anonymous

and then GM continued not being able to make a good decision to save their life and axed pontiac instead of buick

Anonymous

I had a SAAB 9000 that was GM .

Anonymous

Now I've got a SAAB 95 Aero hut it's getting really hard to find parts so we will have to part company after 10 years of motoring heaven. One more trip to the Highlands of Scotland first.

Anonymous

We had a 4-door Galant (the generation prior that Sigma/Challenger coupe) then we got 2 '79 Opel Rekords the same generation as your Commodore. We got 2 as the clean one had a 3-speed slushbox and power windows but the ratty one had a 4-speed stick and some other sporty trim that we could scavenge (it was the 2.0 S). It was the car I learned to drive on. Regarding the steering wheels there are tons of variations in that generation. We had the sporty OEM Momos but with weak power steering we had to revert to a more boring larger diameter tiller. We had a much more modern early 90s Astra estate too but I found it so cramped compared to the big sedans we had before. We got rid of the Astra before the Rekord. What a coincidence that we were primarily a GM family but my dad now drives a Nissan and I a Ford. But next time we go to Oz I want to show him around a VH HDT and a VL Group A (if anybody here has access to either I'll gladly pay.)

Anonymous

I would love a Fiat 'Niki' but any variant of that car is stupid rare in the States. You almost always have to have it imported or shipped cross country and in the end you'll be paying more for shipping than for the car

Anonymous

That's neat that Toyota's first sedan was the Tiara, and now its big luxury mobile is the Crown.

Anonymous

Poor 1 grit. Lookin' like Secret Peter

Anonymous

My college has Car & Driver magazines going back to the early 70s in the basement of the library. Loads of fun to go down there and flip through them.

Anonymous

My first ever car had one of those pioneer cassette stereos in it both the car and the stereo were shit

Anonymous

First page. Volvo 240! Love to see it. Love nugget cars

Anonymous

I wonder what the ratio of (cigarette ads:age) is in old magazines Like, can we actually calculate that? “(X) amount of ads means it’s before this year”

zipzopbeesopdro

I have a honda civic from 78 3 door and its amazing. It needs a restoration tho but its super neat

Anonymous

Ah mate, Holden and Saab ran themselves into the ground

Anonymous

My brother had a VB. He didn't learn his lesson though. He had two more Commodores after that and then bought a Kingswood off of my other brother. A third brother had a Gemini, a Datsun 240K and a couple of Skylines that would all now collectively pay for a house.

Anonymous

I daily a 1st gen SAAB 93. Total nugget. I love it. It was the last chassis made by SAAB but with some GM mechanical parts. The GM parts (from Vauxhall/Opel) are basically trash XD

Anonymous

I have a neighbor who gave me some 60s-70s popular mechanics magazines, definitely pretty interesting, and kind of strange

Anonymous

Regular Car Reviews is working on a Saab story and it should be here soonish, Check it out if you want a lot of their stuff is really good.

Anonymous

That bike looked like an MZ etz 250! It's an old east German bike.

As a Canadian who grew up in the 00s... I think I understood a few words in that video. Like, I don't know what they mean, but I've heard them before.

Anonymous

I’ve got a couple 1982 Datsun 210’s that I love to pieces!!

Anonymous

Could you do A review of the ‘nothing ear(1)’ at some point? I think they’re really good for 99£. But I’m not sure if I should buy them.

Anonymous

Can you please do the new Sony linkbuds. I really wanna buy them but you are an expert and wanna know everything about them before please. 😢

"Not a great painting of a dirt bike." Hey, flat colors and paint-by-numbers brushstrokes were part of the 70s commercial art aesthetic.

Kim Gaetjens

My first car was a second hand 1985 Holden Camira. The so called ‘Sports car of the year’ for ‘84 & ‘85. It was a huge lemon. In the late 70’s, my parents were driving around in a Leyland P76. Everyone bags it but it was a great car as a kid. The backseat was so wide, us kids could pile our games & toys between us on long trips and make a ton of mess. Good times.

Okay, That "game?" The ETI 810? I couldn't find anything about it. But I managed to screenshot the moment where the ad is almost fully in view. And in the ad they mention "See Electronics Today June 1978 issue for article" So guess what? Someone archived that issue!! Turns out it's called "ETI 810 Stuntcycle" The game was actually an electronic builders kit! You would buy the parts and build your own game console. This was, as far as I can tell, exclusive to the Australian market. So Atari released the game in the US as "Atari Stuntcycle." So now, after ALL of that, I can finally see what this game looks like! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EvFHIOy0e5g
