Spaceships of Red Blue and Green we can hear the alien ladies scream WE WANT TRUXTON!

JokersJuicyAss

Honestly for the 1990s it took like 3 or 4 years for the 80s to wash off

Anonymous

The Soundblaster pro guarantee that your PC will go into another dimension!

Bro rewiew the andersson anc 2.0 headphones i think it would be fun to see your reaction to a swedish knockoff brand

Anonymous

ah mate you gotta play yourself some Werner Herzog Zwei, that game is a classic

Anonymous

Hey dank, have you heard of isotunes? I’ve been thinking about buying a pair of their headphones for working out.

Anonymous

Your videos are so much fun, they cheer me up so much….. gutted we don’t have dick smith in the UK tho

Anonymous

god some of this old tech brings me back to my dad's old office when I was a kid

Anonymous

if that calculator video thats coming features a TI Voyage 200 i will loose my mind. Im using that thing for Uni, emulated on my Phone.

Anonymous

2:05 I love that the Aiwa SUPER BASS tape player came with a free Casio F-91W and I love even more that Casio still makes them. They're a whopping $5.05 AUD more expensive on Amazon.com.au 31 years later meaning that they have risen in price less than inflation. Mine broke recently but I'm yet to replace it. I feel lost without one in my watch box.

Anonymous

I used to always pore over these Dick (head) Smith (that's how the logo reads) catalogues as a kid. So much tech I had no chance of affording

Anonymous

You should totally scan this and put it up on Archive.org. This is a great time capsule.

thatgreenfur

Of course North is where True value lies, it's where Santa is able to make unlimited presents every year

HorizontalVertigo

You reminded me about something with your video; I've been using Spotify for years but only recently realised there were better definition options available, I know YT crushes sound, and Tidal is supposedly for audiophiles, but would a comparison of different bitrates/platforms make cool content? Seeing as how most people these days probably stream their music

Anonymous

I demand that you obtain some of those radio headphones

Anonymous

I have the sexy speaker and a bunch of dick smith things!

Anonymous

Strewth! Passing up on Truxton like that! Easily one of the best MD games out there, especially if you're into top-down shooters. Can't recommend it enough.

Anonymous

It was Tandy electronic mags for us back in the day lol

Anonymous

Good old dick smith

Anonymous

I want frank to give us a kissssssssssss

qdoggie

Play Truxton!!!

Anonymous

This reminds me so much of looking through old catalogues of stuff my dad used to have in the cellar when I was a kid, it gives me goosebumps. I love this:)

Anonymous

Wow such memories, that crab computer, I had one of those here in NZ as kid. Was trying to remember what it looked like just the other week. Favourite part of Dick Smith was buying components and building basic kits, like air fuel mixture gauges and headphone amplifiers and things like that.

Anonymous

Oh the good old days. Born in 1992. Spoiled kids today with their smartphones have no clue🤣

Anonymous

Reminds me of the good old times of the annual Sears Christmas catalogs. The 90's were a simpler time.

Anonymous

ah, i see you are using your nokia 3310 writing this comment too! i thought i was the only one

Anonymous

Look for a MPIO MP3 player fy200 model, it’s from 2004 and is cool. Plus it has a microphone so you can yell into it. Mark your calendars for February 16th as it’s Tim tams day.

Anonymous

Dude - your vid’s are amazing. Thanks to you I’ve bought a set of Meze 99 Neos and a set of KZ Pro X for my daughter (who also loves our vids). I was wondering if you could do a vid on the effects of different ear pads on headphones and what they do?

Anonymous

I am Sick Today And This Video Just Makes Me Feel So Much Better!!!

Anonymous

How could you look down on Golden Axe like that!

Anonymous

I cant wait to see your calculators

Anonymous

I love how there was a very brief period of time where PDA's laptops smartphones and netbooks existed simultaneously on the market. crazy to think about.

Anonymous

I really love when you do the blast from the past magazines!

Anonymous

Not really after show related but have you seen the KZ SK10, it's their go at TWS. I think they're damn good for the price, as KZ tend to be

I saw some elderly dude a couple of years back still using his radio headphones on his stroll down the sidewalk. Actually, I saw him several times with em.

Anonymous

Nice, Herzog Zwei on the Mega Drive, one of the best games on the console imho

Anonymous

Omfg I had one of those “smart driver” things as a kid. I was born in 99 though so it was mega old by the time I had it 😭

Anonymous

Gotta pick up a early late 90s Sears catalog!

Tyler Matheson

Anonymous

i still have to use one of those sharp printer calculators at work, like the exact same model

Anonymous

can confirm you can still buy a Sharp Printer Calculator but for about 60 Freedom Dollars... i bought one last year 😂

Anonymous

Love the stroll down memory lane. I was raised in the 90s and this whole vid reminds me of walking through a RadioShack with my dad, seeing tons of stuff WAY to expensive for us to afford. Lol

Anonymous

in Scotland we have Argos catalogues :D

Before you can say "OK, boomer" let me just say that I remember buying a 10-pack of cassette tapes (C-90 was the norm) and it came with a free case that could maybe hold two tinnies.

Jack DenHartog

That Sanyo CD/Radio/Cassette player must be at the top of it's game with that "Bass Xpander". Can't believe no one seems to have seen that. I also can't believe I saw it either.

Anonymous

Oi dank. You should check out the between pros. Sick of seeing them being advertised to me

Anonymous

... that crab computer seems awfully familiar. Did a friend have one? I was born in '93 so it must have been one of those things schools had hanging around as a toy or something.

ibadgrammar

i only join 1 dollar so is about 5.49 RM is not bad for 1 month

Tom Swinnen

This brought me an immeasurable amount of joy.

Anonymous

Woah! The Canon BJ10e did not suck! Everything else did, but that printer helped us print off a fanzine back then.

Anonymous

why must you judge afterburner II so poorly? I always was a big fan of it!

Anonymous

Some massive Herzog Zwei slander.

Anonymous

I love all of these older catalogues. Same with gaming magazines.

Anonymous

i love catalogues

Anonymous

I love how much of that is still being sold. Those dang cbs are probably still top of the line

Anonymous

Amazing

Anonymous

KZ has collaborated with Crinicle, do you think you could do a review of those? see how they differ from the normal KZ ZST's? Thanks Dankpods! Keep doing what you do brother <3

Anonymous

Long time viewer first time commenter, any chance of a vid where you recommend music tracks and explain what we should be hearing, the Daft Punk example, from the main YouTube vid, was a revelation when I listened to it on various speakers and headphones..

Anonymous

superhero branded headphones

Anonymous

Ok, so new video idea for the new year that I would LOVE to see from you: My favourite vids are the wireless buds and beans and stems! I would really like to see you compare the aliexpress knockoff airpods vs the real deal, just to get your take on them - there are literally hundreds of knockoffs on there, and honestly I'm just curious to how good (or bad) these pos' are

Anonymous

Love the sanyo CD player with its "21st century sound!"

Anonymous

Ironically the compass pointing you to good deals points the opposite direction of the ads

Anonymous

what! Dissing Golden Axe! I did not come here for such heresy !

Anonymous

We need more old catalogue videos these are so funny.

Anonymous

Buyers guide to *True Value* ;) see what you did there

Anonymous

Uhh, I had one of those „smart drivers“ as a kid. Brings back memories…

Chris Horry

So much nostalgia, also I had the Star dot matrix printer you pointed out and yep, it was shit. Got me through my first two years of college.
