Anonymous

Hello!

Anonymous

Hows Frank doning

Anonymous

Can you make a clear custom iPod video?

Anonymous

Thanks for the videos! Love the channel!

Anonymous

Notice me daddy

Anonymous

It really sucks that people are pirating your videos, so far on your subreddit, we have taken down about 12 or 13 posts with links to your content, it's not right when each video only costs £0.25 (Edit: I just checked, it is actually 16 posts.... wow....)

Anonymous

My Dad's first cellular was a Motorola StarTAC circa 1997. I thought it was the coolest thing ever. Still love the design and ringtones and all that!

Anonymous

i dont think he will even be able to, your name is unpronounceable

Anonymous

Forreal :-( i hope its at least just some kids who have no way to access this? And not grown-ass adults who feel dankpods doesnt deserve a single $1 a month for so many extra videos

Anonymous

Keep up the good work love the vids

Anonymous

Is it illegal to watch the after show before the video because if so I’m definitely under arrest.

Anonymous

I watched the ending of the vid on YouTube in .25 speed and I was laughing so hard

Anonymous

The bricks thing sounds about right

Anonymous

When I saw the thumbnail for the main video today, it made me so happy. I had one of those nuggets as my first MP3 player around 2005. Had a 256 MB SD card in there with Little River Band's Greatest Hits. Good memories.

Anonymous

Up next, a Nokia 3310

Anonymous

Reminds me of my old flipper I had back in 2015

Anonymous

The reason New Zealand doesn't appear on maps is because it isn't real

Anonymous

There already is one, i guess. https://youtu.be/fYmZNIg6WPE

Anonymous

I remember the Motorola phones. They were interesting. Although I don't think they were as sturdy as the Nokia phones from then.

Anonymous

fun fact: I watched this Video on my Motorola Edge.

Anonymous

Oh my god that's a chonker xD literally looks like my old house phone from the early 2000s.

Anonymous

used to have a nokia 55something when i was a young boy

OzRetrocomp

What was it with '90s mobiles and stupid names? Says the bloke whose first mobile was a Philips Fizz.

Anonymous

I was born the year this phone came out

Anonymous

I remember when i was young my dad had a phone that looked very similar to this but it was a samsung R220

Anonymous

My dad had the exact phone

Anonymous

And this was 3 years ago

Anonymous

just renewed my mebership to watch this jewel

Anonymous

Do a video of Earbuds vs IEMs.

Anonymous

Hey Dank, writing to you to inform you about something that seems up your alley. A lot of nuggetphones you look over and even the KBEARs you looked at a few weeks ago are actually using the shell of an ancient discontinued Sennheiser pair of earbuds called the MX500s. They were apparently a huge push towards good quality sound in earbuds. Seems like something you out of all people would like to look at for a video.

Anonymous

I remember finding my old calculator from HS and having to clean the contacts because the battery leaked. But despite the battery was leaking, it worked.

VeccyBoo

Didn't even read the title and was surprised when you reiterated that this was a *mobile* phone. lmfao

Anonymous

Bro, I’d support you even if you didn’t do anything for supporters

VeccyBoo

Should have checked out the ring tones!

VeccyBoo

That's what makes it Jazzy

Anonymous

Video Suggestion: You should do a comparison between various prolific headphones with and without amps/dacs using the HEARS. PS I love frank 🐍

Anonymous

I cant attach a pic but in AUS Nokia 3315 was where it was at. A Nokia nugget episode would be kinda cool...

Anonymous

did frank end up yawning when he turned around

Anonymous

Legit I will give (almost) any amount of money for an iDog and the other animals review

Anonymous

You ever plan on doing fan mail?

Anonymous

When will you make a channel that livestreams Frank 24/7?

Anonymous

I have a Motorola phone currently. crazy the company is still around. sad they are not as relevant now.

Anonymous

I got a friend who only buys Motorola phones the new ones ofc.

Anonymous

What the fuck was that Jazz button?

Anonymous

The Phillips savvy was also my first mobile I remember the only "entertainment" on it being horoscopes. It was also indestructible I lost it once and found it half an hour later in a river and not only did it still work but the phone was still on.

Anonymous

My first phone was a Motorola C200. Even had a game about Frank in it!

Anonymous

I might actually have a Phillip Savvy you can have! My grandma used to keep it at her house and if she hasn't thrown it out I'll send it to you! (Post-lockdown obviously, I'm in the UK)

Anonymous

I am retro phone seller and I had many Philips Savvy phones from Germany. I can send You one over.

Reynard Fawkes

Gosh that is a brick and a half

Anonymous

The beeping buttons bring back flashbacks of the Tesco self checkouts

Anonymous

Love the vid but I can't wait for the warehouse update.

Anonymous

I'm the same age as that phone

Anonymous

as kiwi im offended

Anonymous

This reminds me of those now outdated home phone systems companies still sell lol

Anonymous

If a kid from this generation see that phone, they will state at it and ask you this “can it play Fortnite?”

Anonymous

am I crazy, or could you, at least used to be able to, set videos so they can't be added to playlists? I feel like I've seen that before

Anonymous

I honestly thought the Jazz at the bottom of the phone is the jazz button for jazz purposes I am sad lol

Anonymous

Guys guys, can I use Technics EAH-DJ1200 as a daily headphone for just casual listening?

Anonymous

Omg the Phillips Savvy was my first phone too it was metallic blue and absolutely beautiful

Anonymous

Disappointed that wasn't a Jazz button

Joshua Chap

But can it play Snake? That's what I need to know!

Anonymous

my phone is bricked so i am currently running of a nokia:3

Anonymous

Every time you say "I'll see yous all next time" I chant Frank, Frank, Frank until I see her 🐍

Anonymous

You should review the iDog and it's nugget brothers

Anonymous

I had a variant of this as my first phone (M3288 in 1998) before moving onto Nokias (5110-3210-3330 and then E70 weirdness) then back to old Moto for the OG RAZR. Check out the Nokia E70, like a Kinder Egg, it has a surprise inside.

Anonymous

You can still do that by marking the video as for kids.

Anonymous

I just got patreon for the first time for you lol

Anonymous

god that battery makes me nervous

Anonymous

This makes me wanna see you check out one of the indestructible bricks from old mate Nokia!

Anonymous

Ah man best thing about those old Motorola’s is if the battery is dead you can just use AAs/AAAs (depending on model)

Sulthan Fauzan Arrafi

yo man, i honestly think you need to move the youtube thingy where people can join and pay per month to see the extra vids, they are in a place where other people can't see them except for the ones who have joined

Anonymous

why not just give a single dollar? This give me a lot more than 1$ a month worth of fun

Anonymous

I have one too! Moto G8+ is actually a very good phone for its price, they still produce sturdy stuff

Anonymous

I used a Nokia 3395 for 4 years up until feb 2020, switched because 2g shutting down :( No flip phone today does texting as well as the thing did, kinda blows. even the new nokia 3310 just freakin sucks. If it weren't for being 2g, would still be using it as my daily

Anonymous

What does the JAZZ button do?!

Anonymous

I already left a comment of YouTube, but does anyone know what model Rio he had in the newest episode. I had one as a kid and I really wanna buy another one

Karen Sykora

Motorola (as just a Lenovo brand name) are still reasonably relevant, they're basically the gods of the Android mid-range while everyone else is abandoning it to glue more and more cameras on their flagships.

Anonymous

It’s so cool That I can mention dirtybuds, hu du six hundruds almost anywhere and they like love the sound of a night alone out of the hu du six hundruds

Anonymous

i have a nokia brick someone in my junk of phones even has the optional bigger battery xD

Anonymous

Assuming you still have 2G signal around you, you should try popping a live SIM into it :D

Anonymous

man frank needs an intervention

Anonymous

Is Franky gonna get a new living quarters in the new warehouse? Big ol house for Franky

Anonymous

I'm from germany i could ship one if i find one :)

Anonymous

I wish he screamed ITS THE AFTER SHOW like only he can

Samuel Fout

I love the aftershow theme song

Anonymous

was the frank clip before or after she shed her skin

Alpha

If pirates are pirating da vids then we just gotta fight da pirates dat, pirate da vids, with more pirates. Better hop enover to the pirate bay to get us some more PIRATES! Also let’s be real for a sec, no one pirates a shit movie because they wanna watch a shit movie, people only pirate the good shit. So surely that’s a highlight. You’ve made it into the big world where your content is pirated, Welcome to 2021.

Anonymous

I wonder what that jazz button does

Anonymous

My first mobile was a Motorola, back in 1995 on a Telstra plan. Funniest part was that it took the entire world to make it: battery from Japan, handset from Mexico, charger from China, and instruction booklet from --- Ireland!

Anonymous

Love the pointless massive jazz logo at the bottom. Its kinda like what Samsung used to do with their phones

Anonymous

I got a little overexcited when I saw the BT Cellnet Savvy as the Dual Band was my first mobile too!

Anonymous

if only i was born old enough to be nostalgic of these things lol, i had an iphone 3gs which has thoroughly kicked the bucket by now with a battery that has obliterated the screen, and my mom had a blackberry. also motorola with their folding phones now, ooooo

Anonymous

Motorola is still pretty active with smartphones, but they are kind of struggling to compete with the high end market. I think their "upgradeable" Z pretty much died by now if I recall, and the only time I see them mentioned is when someone buys their mid-range offerings to save some money on a new phone.

Anonymous

Might wanna yank that battery out of there asap and clean the contacts with a bit of weak acid like vinegar or lemon extract, NiMH batteries have the "extra fun" variant of corrosive sadness fluid in them and it really doesn't like to have working circuits around!

Anonymous

The Motorola dad300

Anonymous

That protecter film still being on there is such a dad thing.

Anonymous

That's a hell of a dad case, once covid is all over, remind me to post you a Belkin dad case that came with an eBay 6th gen Classic last year. It's yellowing and has the peak dad strap.

Anonymous

90s people opening a phone: "I can't believe people can call me on this!" Millennials and Zoomers opening a phone: "God I hope no one ever calls me on this."

Anonymous

the ones on patreon are the real ones tho

Shaun Potter

The Phillips Savvy was my first phone too! You’re literally the only other person I’ve know to have had one!

Anonymous

vigita :D

Anonymous

I was too young for these but my big bro had something like this with interchangeable face pieces.

Anonymous

Hey Dank, it looks like Anker has done a complete relaunch of their audio side (Soundcore) and is starting to sponser Youtubers. I was wondering if you would take a look at them and see if they're better than the RanCans?

Luke Nicholls

Just purchased the one dollayroo, however it's in USD so that's not really 1$ for me it's 1.30$

Anonymous

Just subscribed

ASBR

Look for Philips Diga. Either that’s the uk name or they were very similar..

Anonymous

I own a modern day Motorola phone and its Shockey good

Anonymous

oh man, i do the Dad Fix all the time on stuff, & one day when i have kids, i will pass on the ancient art of "GOOD AS NEW!....sorta". I love your vids mate, they brighten my day. You have a great personality & speaking voice, you are the ONLY patreon ive EVER subbed to, & will continue to bc i wanna help ya make nugget nostalgia vids forever! thank you for all you do fren!

Anonymous

i had that in black as my first phone, i thought it was so cool, i'v still got it in a box somewhere.

Anonymous

Oh yeah, the good old mobile phones. My first one was a Samsung with an orange backlight. That was the only color it had! Times have changed so much😂

AJPRIME TECH

My first phone was an old peace of junk LG flip phone lol... I think you can see Pepper Pots using one in Iron Man 2!!

Anonymous

Question to all of you who are here because of Frank. What... uh, breed? type? class she is? I mean, it is a snake, but what exact snake she is? Thank you!

Anonymous

The first mobile in my household was my dad's 3310 and oh boy, Nokia had really refined the form factor in those two years between that and the jazz. My first phone was a Nokia 2100, which I still think is a cute little device.

Anonymous

When are you getting an "I-Dog" feels like it would be right down your ally.

Anonymous

people when pirate- :D people when get pirate- :o

Anonymous

Could we have an update video about the gigabeat?

Anonymous

Dumb question but... Devialet Phantom video?

Anonymous

mate, motorola made the best folding smartphone in the market WHAT DO YOU MEAN THEY'RE NOT RELEVANT

Anonymous

just the shortcuts and android stock make them one of the best not-high end- manufacturers

Anonymous

what does the jazz button do.......

Anonymous

Funny you mention Motorola smartphones, my mum JUST bought a Moto G Fast.

Anonymous

I will gladly pay even more. You’re a very genuine and talented person

Anonymous

This made me have to pull out my dad's old Moto MicroTac 650e--a massive brick of a phone that could use a dock to charge and had a special flap to cover the keypad! Ah, the good ole days!

Anonymous

i think my dad had a phone like this when i was a kid. except i think it was bigger? we probably still have it around somewhere, we could open a tech museum with all the crap we never throw out 😜

Anonymous

I had a Qualcomm from around 98-99, looks very similar to that Motorola.

Anonymous

i didn't knew "mulurula" was in the nugget business.

Anonymous

You don't get to be in the stinky names list if you pirate though, that's well worth the 25 cents a week right there.

Anonymous

Shoutout to dad

Anonymous

At $1 a month i dont see why even bother pirating

Anonymous

And he gets at least $18,900 a month to make more awesome content!

Anonymous

Are we not going to talk about the designated “Jazz” button??

Anonymous

wade!!! i collect phones like this and i found a savvy at a batty recycling bin. im not sure if it works but i can send it to ya next month

Anonymous

That dad managed to keep the screen pristine and you decide to go and ruin that record.

Anonymous

im supriced u didnt scream out ''jazz''

Anonymous

I remember my dad having a Nokia 101 back in the day. He was an attorney at the time, and he said that it cost 1/6 of his monthly salary just to be on the line, calls not included. It had a 20-30 minute talk time, if I remember correctly. The phone ended its life in my toy box, since it had a dead battery and they were really hard to come by

Anonymous

I'll admit, I do have a playlist of your after shows but only so I can watch them with the youtube app on my PS4 for when I want to watch them on my tv since I don't want to have to use the annoying and kinda slow PS4 browser lol. Anyway, I love the vids man!

1488 Dental

Don't be too discouraged that people are sharing this content without paying. There is evidence to suggest that piracy can be helpful because some pirates will eventually purchase the content if they like it, and it can be seen as word of mouth advertising to others who will then pay for it. Regardless I love your videos and I've got friends who love them too. Thank you for making them 🙂

Anonymous

You could make a call to Hokkaido, Japan with that

Anonymous

Those button sounds! They sound exactly like the toy phone I got as a kid in the 90s. So nostalgic indeed!

Anonymous

The only reason I make a playlist of the videos is so I don’t have to open Patreon everytime.

Anonymous

As long as they're playlists for your own use I think it should be fine, I've thought of doing the same thing. I could be wrong, but I think he's talking about patrons who are making playlists and then sharing them with non-patrons. Again, I could be wrong. I'm not a very smart man.

Anonymous

What does the JAZZ button do?!

Anonymous

I hope the pirates heard that opening remark and felt guilty.

Anonymous

I want access to the unlisted playlist just so I can watch a videos native on YouTube easily on my tv. I’m trying to catch up! Sucks They are stealing it

Anonymous

I had my dads old one of that Philips phone when I was little until I lost it

Anonymous

The battery when removed you could put 4 aa s in it. They didn’t last long though

Anonymous

I watched one video from patreon when i wasnt a patreon and i was like, a fuck it i might as well give him that dolar a month, he earned it
