Hello, Patrons new and old! I have a two-pronged update/request post for you today.

The update is that getting work done this month has been going at a slower pace than expected due to some logistic issues with people moving and scheduling recordings. Originally I planned to have UBW Ep1 done this month but it looks like it's going to be next month. I'm really sorry for that delay.

The other thing is a more personal matter that I want to put on the table for discussion. FrozenFrost and I are at the point now where, where the help of this Patreon, we can switch over to doing this as a full-time job. Your support on here has been generous and overwhelming. However, there's a certain nuance' I want to discuss with you guys: the writing portion vs editing portion.

Our current system is that we charge for episode-sized content, up to 3 times per month. This is not going to change. However, we occasionally bump into "writing/recording months" where all we do is the pre-production involved in making the final material. During these months we usually can't get actual "content" made, because we're spending all our time gathering the materials or writing it. These months are risky for us if we want to move into a full-time model officially, since we essentially don't make money for things like rent during them.

What I want to discuss is the prospect that at the end of a given month, if it's been a writing/recording month, we can make one paid update post detailing the work done that month/scripts written. The purpose is for rent and food, obviously, as we want to keep things stable enough to keep working. We're also going to be moving in with the SomethingWittyEntertainment guys soon so that kind of stability would be really really good for us.

This is 100% just a safety net for those months where our work is scripting and recording(which is just as time-consuming and involving as editing thanks to all the moving parts. Some of you may not know this, but all of our actors are local to the Vancouver area: we physically organize them to come to our space to record).

Feel free to tell me what you think. Your input on this is important, and until the first of these posts nothing is set in stone. I'll probably make the first of these pledged posts on the 28th, and have the 28th be the usual day. Remember please, that as Patrons you can set caps on how many posts per month you want to be charged for. So you could, for example, switch our pledge over to only paying twice to avoid this pledge during full work months(as this would always be at the end of the month intentionally, with all other posts being in the meanwhile).

As a supporter from the very beginning, I feel like this is a reasonable solution.

I don't really know what the opinion of 1 out of almost 170 supporters will say to you but I for one feel that this is completely reasonable and I have no issues with it. Carry on and I will happily continue to give you guys my money!

I'm absolutely fine with there being a monthly charge, even if there's no content. If it's helping you guys keep things going and staying alive and well, then it'll be worth it.

I completely support that decision, as it helps you continue your work and actually be able to live from it

It makes a lot of sense. I adore your writing and if it takes time for it to get together I think it'll be worth the wait and pledge.

I just signed up about thirty seconds ago, so mine may be a small voice but it lends it support. Grace and peace on all of you.

Not a problem. If you are providing proof of the work you've been doing, then I can know that my money is actually going to something. As long as I have that, I'm happy to contribute to a safety net.
