This show deserved so much better as far as direction. It really is one of my favorite Shonen Jump manga of all time, and the constant recaps+Disney's lack of promotion really did a number on it. A few fun facts for you: -Osamu Tezuka was the creator of Astro boy and is idolized by many manga authors. Naoki Urasawa who went on to create Pluto and Monster picked up manga because of Astro Boy. -The face that Fuuko scribbled down was from one of Yoshihiro Togashi's (creator of Yu Yu Hakusho and Hunter X Hunter) author pages from his manga. Specifically one about how much he was suffering physically from trying to make manga deadlines. -The jump cuts are another product of bad direction with this show. Fuuko looking over at Juiz's drawing was her feeling insecure about her relationship with Andy. -In the manga Fuuko holds the lady at gunpoint for the phone, Andy doesn't show up. They cut it out because apparently there was something similar at Shueisha before the episode aired. It was such a shame, because it did alot for Fuuko's character.
