Kheertah v.1 (Patreon)

Kheertah or - code name - chimera, another creature idea for the Ancients' home planet, Reagkhay. 

Right now this one feels really rough, yet I've wanted something to crawl out during nights and hunt on unsuspecting prey. I've also been thinking that it could be somewhat like an ambush predator, that can move silently through surface and even have a two harpoon-like tongues (not-tongues, they are just located in the mouth cavity) to strike the victim, pull it up close and immobilize by the pincers, then start secreting bile all over its body and tear it up bit by bit. 

Despite ambush nature they will also hunt in packs, just on a significant distance one from another, so not to spook anything, and, at the same time, cover a larger territory, and even if something will be spooked, they can turn on a chase mode and still catch it due to every direction being monitored by another pack member.

They will return underground just before sunrise, at dawn, taking with them all the bodies away, leaving none of decaying matter behind, even one that wasn't killed by them and they just happened to found it lying around.
