[Infection AU] First The Pegasi (Patreon)

Thunder Lane quickly flew of the ledge. Today was the day. 

The pegasi had been hiding it for a long time, well a couple months, which was pretty impressive. 

It was supposed to be another week before they left but they heard about the growing suspicion Twilight and Celestia had. 

“Please don’t go.”

Thunder paused and paused in the sky. He turned his head and locked eyes with Cheerilee.
She had been trying to help Twilight keep peace between the species but it just wasn’t happening.

Peagsi had to be safe. They CAN be safe. Even if it meant leaving everyone else behind.

Thunder gulped. Now was not the time to feel guilt. Even if it was eating him alive. But he couldn’t stay. He had to leave with his family.

“I’m sorry, I have to go.” He spoke softly.

“But WHERE. Where are you going? So many ponies have split up! The families that are broken. Why are you leaving everyone behind?” Her voiced cracked at the end from sadness.

“I…” 

Thunder turned away. Honestly, he didn’t know why the Pegasi decided to just leave. Safety sure but leaving everyone else…

Everyone agreed out of desperation in the end he guessed. 

“I’m sorry,” Thunder Lane said quickly as he flapped his wings hard and quickly to get away.

He had to go, every other Pegasi is.

As Pegasi leave others get concerned. However, not all peagsi left just to safe, many felt obligated to. Even if it meant leaving others behind. Family included.

Guilt is rising though. Some don’t want to leave, but the will to survive is greater. Any Pegasi who didn’t want to leave family would in the end leave when there family turned to trees or passed. Others just disappeared.
