Shining Armor nodded to his mother as he walked forward to her on the road . He slumped down as his eyes got heavy.

The training he had been doing felt like it never ended. Never got a break. Never got anything for that matter...

“Hold yourself up boy. I should not have to remind you.”

Shining sighed ”Sorry Mother.”

He forced himself to straighten up as his body protested, yelling at him for a break.
“We must look perfect for when the highnesses arrive.”

He knew today would be a long and tiring day. But with the sound of trumpets growing near as the Chrystal ponies quickly came out of there houses, Shining did perk up.

But only because he could see Cadance again.

The story behind this picture from my youtube. Shining Amor is about 13 1/2 here. The day he turned 10 he was pushed into guard training and school. And after almost three years of constant work, Shining is tired.

But Cadance is everything to him every since he knew they where betrothed. It benefited them of course and Candances parents where pleased with the arrangements. But more on that later!
