Dusk rushed through the halls and bounced into the room his mom was in. A game of “Kingdom Strategies“ his favorite board game.
That’s what they planned to play together two weeks ago.

”Mother! Mother!” Dusk happily yelled out.

Twilight didn’t even look up to face her son as she harshly yelled for him to be quiet.

Dusk huffed, eyeing his sister wrapped up against his mom.

Of course, Dusk rolled his eyes. But she promised!

Dusk cleared his throat and took a step forward.

”It’s Friday afternoon. Board game night! I got everything set up in the library!” Dusk Rise nervously rubbed his leg looking at his mother waiting for her to at least look at him.

He watched her as she dropped her ears.

”Im sorry Dusk. Not today,” Twilight said softly.

“Bu…but you-“

“I said not today. Star Beam is having a hard day today, I need to focus on her.”

Dusk opened his mouth but shut it quickly and narrowed his eyes as he felt tears threaten to fall.

Dusk stomped his foot and huffed.

”YOU PROMISED.” Dusk yelled out as loud as he could out of spite of his sister.

He immediately heard his sister start crying as he ran down the hall. Tears falling down his face but yet, he found happiness in the situation.

His mother again failed him, now she would suffer with Stars crying.
