I made a Succubus act for Hotsy Totsy and, for the first time in a very long time, I am unequivocally proud of it. I don't really know how that happened. But hey, I'll take it.

I always want to write these long explanations of what my process was and what I was thinking, feeling, working through, but then that seems daunting and all the words crumble away from my brain. The post is never finished and it's never good enough and then it's been in my draft folder for months and wouldn't it be stupid to post something about my birthday now that it happened, like, a million years ago?
So that's how you end up with a dozen unfinished posts in your draft file.

the other day I was telling a friend about shows I'd done recently, and ones I had coming up and he said
"Wow you really need a mailing list. Or, like, to update your patreon."
First of all, ouch. But, second of all, very well deserved.

So I thought to myself "Why don't I just make a post of the info of where and when I'm performing?" and my brain was like "These are your PATRONS they deserve something SPECIAL, not some dumb boring advertisement...of where they can actually see you do the art they're patronizing?"

So.....yeah. Sometimes I'm dumb.

Sometimes (often) I sabotage myself with emotional tomfoolery and make things way more complicated than they have to be. Sorry. So here's where I'm performing next

This Saturday it's a show about spring, gardens, flowers, etc. So I'll be doing my Fuckin Outside act. It's kind of a dumb act but it's sweet and funny and has lots of audience interaction, which is something I've sorely missed.

Next Thursday I'll be performing for my boyfriend's 50th Birthday show at The Mercury Lounge.

I'm going to be doing my succubus act again and this line up is awesome so I'm really excited about this show. But even if I wasn't in it, I'd be excited about this show because Johnny is a legendary guitar player and a staple of the brooklyn music and art scene. His friends are all delightful artists and weirdos and the love people have for him is palpable so I think it's going to be a fantastic show and party.

It's also not fully public yet, because I haven't finished casting the show, BUT Original Cyn will be doing a show to celebrate the 20th anniversary of Lucky 13 Saloon. The show will be on May 18th, 10pm-ish of course. Everything else TBA. But MARK YOUR CALENDARS!
