I Applied to the Bohemian Burlesque Festival (Patreon)

I've been wanting to go to Prague FOREVER so when I saw it was having a burlesque festival I decided to give it my best shot. I've never had the money to go to Prauge just lying around but I figured if I get in, it's God or the Universe or the Great Ghost of Bowie telling me to just get over it and abuse my credit card a little.

I applied with Joker because it's the best video I have but then was surprised to find that I was supposed to apply with two acts. I wanted to use that slot to apply with something more artsy but didn't have any video I was happy with. But then I took a second look at this act. I've been meaning to revamp it forever but never had a deadline and every time I watched the video, all I could see were the mistakes. But watching it again, it actually looked pretty good.

It's not perfect, of course, and if I get accepted I'll work on upgrading the costume and polishing the choreography. But I'm glad I took a second look at it.
