I didn't technically join inktober, largely because I knew I'd be busy, but mostly because I don't think I can draw well enough to complete and share a piece every day.

But I have been drawing more. I was thinking about that cat drawing I did the other day and how much I liked it. It occurred to me that, given all the in-class doodling I've done, ballpoint pen is probably the medium I've had the most practice with. I recently read that "an artist's style is the sum of their mistake" I'm wondering if this is just my style and if there's a way to make that style look polished enough to be professional looking.

This horse was a first attempt. It's not great. But I've never drawn a horse before so, considering that, it's pretty good. I like the textures I can make with a ballpoint. I'm not crazy about the color (watercolor pencils) but I think this is a good start. I think I'll experiment with some different color pens.
