Cathrynne Valente has written a truly amazing book called The Refrigerator Monologues which is a book of monologues retelling the stories of comic book women who have been "fridged" from that woman's point of view. So it's Gwen Stacy, telling the story of her death, while she's in the underworld. And she's pretty damn pissed off. Valente didn't have permission to use any of the characters so she made her own versions and the changes she makes are fantastic. 10/10 definitely recommend. Go buy it now.

The moment I finished reading the monologue for her Harley Quinn analogue, Pretty Polly, I was *dying* to perform it. And this was the only venue I could think of in which to do so (probably. I might have ideas for a show in the works.) The chapter is about 35 minutes long so I couldn't do the WHOLE thing, but this is the beginning and end and I'm really freaking happy with this slapdash recording.
