I love the bittersweet feeling of how klaus couldn't be killed by anyone but himself and his brother. That in the end it's family that makes that decision for him. It really brings it full circle especially how the originals started with just klaus and elijah in tvd and it ends with klaus and elijah. I do feel sad that elijah wasnt written to stay and watch over hope too but elijahs ark about hayley and klaus, i dont see him staying for any reason if not for them two. I know his sisters and brother kol but i feel his main story about his character besides loyalty and trust was mainly his bond with klaus and hayley so it feels bittersweet for him to die with klaus and meet hayley in peace for their last dance
