I'm pretty sure the "You're a rabbit, Mal!" line is supposed to be "Gorramit, Mal!", but the captions got it incorrect. "Gorramit" is a word they've used numerous times on the show and makes more sense in this context.

Jonathon Woodward must have done a good job as Tracey, because they then used him in a featured role in an episode of Buffy, and after that his role on Angel. His characters always strikes me as being a bit drunk.

This was the episode they were filming when they heard the show was cancelled. They funeral scene was really the cast saying goodbye to the show, and the composer of the score wrote the music for the scene as an elegy for the show.

Also, since it was the last episode, Alan Tudyk decided to get a little wacky during the tense flying scenes.

Firefly aired during Season 7 of Buffy, so it was filmed at the same time. Conversations with Dead People was most likely filmed before The Message, but Caleb and Jasmine both arrived after Firefly had wrapped.
