This was a very important episode for Klaus and Mickael that finally gives Klaus some closure regarding him and his father's relationship, not fulfilling but relevant nonetheless...Made more tragic by noticing the subtle but obvious ways in which Mickael and Klaus could have had an existing relationship if history had gone slightly differently as was obvious by the way they worked together...The pain of seeing that Mickale ultimately only care about Freya in spite of all the rest combined with necessity for the viking ash is definitely what set off Klaus over the edge to end Michael a second time...

When you said about how Mikael is to Klaus what Dahlia is to Freya and all that, my mouth literally dropped because I once commented that EXACT thing on a Youtube video of that scene... Like, literally exactly what you said... Word for word, I'm pretty sure... From when you started saying "What Freya needs to understand..." Personally, the way I saw it is Mikhail knew that he was going to need to die and was willing and didn't fight back because it would save his children. Especially Freya. And in the end, saw his similarities with Klaus, but also gave him his answer before he died so Klaus also got some closer as well. Because that is what He has asked his father from the beginning was why he hated him as much as he did,
