The ages in the show are weird. I think Fred's probably the closet in age to Wes since we know she was in grad school. Cordy is only like 20 years old and I'm pretty sure Gunn is meant to be early 20s as well. But they kinda just... ignored all of that lmao. And you would never guess just by looking at the actors. I don't really ship Fred and Wes either, though.

yes, if you put yourself in Fred's parents shoes, you see that the team did indeed look very suspicious and it turns out they were just wondering when to involve the police when they were saying "is it time to call them in?"

Oh Fred. The scene when she sees her parents at the bus station just breaks my heart every time. I love this episode too. When I first watched this season as it aired, I wasn’t a big fan of Fred initially- I found her a bit annoying. This episode made me love her though.
