I love seeing Klaus this episode! I absolutely love the phone call with him and Caroline. I'm always gonna ship them so much... Watching this episode without seeing Klaus' story on The Originals does make it a little jarring and surprising to see him this way. Because although he's clearly still Klaus, as we saw when he realised Stefan had been lying to him, he's also more of a family guy and he's more mature in a way. The way he spoke of his family, the way he was so open about his feelings about them with Caroline and so able to give her advice with the twins. It's obvious he's different. Unfortunately, you're right. The continuation of this story was in The Originals so you won't be seeing Klaus again next episode. But it does mean you'll get to see Stefan again in The Originals when you've finished TVD... So that'll be something to look forward to! Haha It is really amusing though, seeing that you don't know what's been going on with Klaus and his family, so much confused you and there's just so many things that you wouldn't catch because you don't have all the information... Haha Honestly, it's no wonder Damon decided to desiccate himself until Elena wakes up (we found that out back in like the first episode of the season...) all episode he was just getting people telling him that those he loves would be better off without him, that all he does is mess up their lives and that he's gonna get them killed. Then Bonnie almost died trying to save him and that was just the nail in the coffin. He is just so terrified of his family getting hurt because of him, or of letting them down, that he just doesn't feel he can stay in their lives... :( I am so looking forward to when you get to watch The Originals though! You're going to love it so much! &lt;333

I was waiting for you to get to this cross over, season 7 keeps giving, and still there so many exceptionally good episode to discover. You notice, Klaus changed, he had a daughter and lots of things happen since he left Mystic Falls, things you will discover when you will watch The Originals. Kids change you, change your priorities and their unconditional love effect you profoundly. I'm not talking only about Klaus but also about Caroline and Alaric, the power of family is a strong one and can be expressed in all shapes and forms. We are getting closer and close to the three years mark, where apparently everything will change. In Damon’s head, he almost killed Elena, he put Stefan and Bonnie in danger to be killed, and this added to what Tyler said, had a intense effect on him, confirm all his fears to royally screw up things in a manner that is irreparable. And even if all those events were not due to his own fault, we know Damon, his trouble maker reputation it is something that haunts him throughout his life, that has been imbedded in his skull since childhood and no logic or common sense reasoning, can make him see himself differently, especially when everybody else he loves, apart from Bonnie, is unfairly reinforcing it. Because of that, he makes that dreaded decision to take himself out of the equation and desicate, untill Elena wakes up. We will see how that will play.

If there are fans somewhere in the TVD universe who don't like Klaus, then there are just incredibly few of them. There are more Damon, Stefan or Elena haters than Klaus haters, and it's very funny) Although for many reasons that I am too lazy to describe for me, ship Stefan and Caroline will always be number 1 in the entire TVDU , I really like how Klaus is always ready to help Caroline.

And I want to say something else . Of course , The Originals is a wonderful show , more emotional , more serious , more spectacular . And for many viewers, it's even better than TVD (For me, probably too), but you don't have to wait for it so much, now it's better to enjoy the remnants of TVD, there's much more humor in TVD, the love lines are much more spectacular, the main characters in both shows are great, but you'll definitely miss the TVD heroes too.

TVD will always be my favorite because I'm more emotionally attached to the characters, but I understand why people like The Originals better. It's more adult and I feel it's more centered on family, while TVD is more centered on romance. TO has romance but it never feels like it's the focus.

This episode sucked to watch because of how many blanks where in there due to the orginals being voted to be watched after TVD not to mention that 2 major spoilers were revealed in this episode for the orginals, I understand the reasoning for people voting for TVD over the orginals, that episodes would be limited because 2 shows would be watched but episodes like this one would’ve been much more enjoyable for Sophies viewing experience knowing why klaus wasn’t in New Orleans when caroline visited 3 years after, she would’ve known klaus wasn’t scared of Reyna and was just angry that Stefan would endanger his family and his daughter by bringing Reyna, she would’ve known who the witch they were visiting to help Stefan was and much more, it was a good reaction ofc but just felt wrong to have so many blanks in this episode, there is a reason why the originals and TVD were broadcasted at the same time, because they go with one another and use info from each others shows in there own, now Sophie will have to wait to see the other half of the cross over later in the originals, but again was a very good reaction and just hope she can remember everything in TVD to connect with the originals later on when the time comes

and also it SPOILED that the fact his baby is alive which ruins s1 of the originals involving so many situations questioning if the baby will live or not. The fans ruined it, they kept insisting it wouldn't spoil the originals but it did with that huge fact in this episode confirming his baby
