After this I LOVE the SnowQueen relationship….each scene they have just TUGS at your heart strings and rings true with the theme of the show. Darkness can always find the light

tbh it was always creepy that leopold married regina when she was like 18, but this part of the backstory makes it even worse. like yeah obviously cora was incredibly messed up for orchestrating it, but ultimately leopold was the one who proposed to regina and stayed married to her and presumably did *bedroom activities* with her, and it makes my heart ache for regina so much. like imagine being a teenager + your first love was just murdered + now you're being forced to marry a man who's not only old enough to be your father but is literally your mother's ex. like, a lot of the stuff regina did as the evil queen was done to innocent people + i don't excuse that at all, but i really can't be mad at her killing leopold tbh. like i know the "grey morality" this episode is *trying* to introduce is "maybe eva wasn't as Good as snow always believed" but i agree that eva wasn't actually the bad guy here; i feel like what it *actually* did was set up a scenario where *leopold* was actually creepier and not as Good as snow had always believed also, i do disagree about regina *loving* power. i feel like it's less that she actually loves + covets power the same way cora did, and more that she craves *control* and self-determination, and power was just a means to an end, whereas for cora gaining power *was* the end goal but yeah, very much agree about the snow + regina scene, i really love the development in regina and snow's relationship this season. i do think they're better off as friends than step-mom and step-daughter, though, especially at this point when they're essentially the same age (and honestly they were always only a few years apart, age-wise, it was just less obvious because they didn't cast a younger actress to play young!regina)
