I don't think it's the mom's fault at all. She didn't do anything except escape hell just like Lucifer. Plus she wasn't actively turning Amenadiel against God. He came to that conclusion all on his own. All she told him was to let it out

I think Lucifer softened up his face to Linda to NOT freak her out. When he shows it to criminals, it seems more sinister. Possibly Lucifer hasn't shown Chloe because 1) he trusts Linda; 2) I think he's afraid of her reaction. What if she rejected him? Showing Linda first was a brilliant move by the writers as Linda has more capacity to undersand emotions and motivations. Chloe's very pragmatic. He & Linda are friends, but in Chloe I think he hopes for something more. Their connection is more on a spiritual level.
