I have been wondering for a while what Tess thought of this. While I am totally behind Mira telling off that barista, Tess did initially say "Please don't be angry" and "Let's just leave." Even Mira admits she got angry, and even though she mostly kept Tess out of the conversation, she also didn't just leave either. I wonder if Tess is partially feeling touched that someone was willing to stand up for her, but also wondering if she feels that Mira ignored her feelings in the matter. We know how much Tess doesn't like confrontation, and Mira charged right into it. As she said, she made it about her. I get the feeling this is going to be an actual point of contention between them, though how big of a deal it is will depend a lot on how Tess ultimately feels. Hopefully Mira can learn from this and they can be more on the same page soon. I am excited to see where this goes as always! Thank you for sharing this with us Ari!

Well, this whole encounter diminishes one of the concerns Tess had about the "Fake Girlfriend" thing: It doesn't look like Mira asked her because of how most of the people there try to avoid being around her.

Mira followed "don't be angry" pretty closely, as close as one can. She had things to say, but expressed all of her fury without once raising her voice (oops, except in her first reaction to the cashier implying Mira is dangerous, but she quickly got that under control again). And she did sort-of get Tess' permission to just "say one quick thing"... that didn't end up being all that quick once the cashier tried to defend herself.

I agree. She was pretty chill (if brutal in the best way) while she was in the shop. Afterwards she was pretty angry about it, though I would be too, and she does apologize for potentially making Tess upset or uncomfortable. I don't think Mira expected that to go the way it did either and got swept up in it. I also don't think she did anything to intentionally not go with Tess's wishes. I can just see where there might be a huge mix of feelings in Tess. It's all very complicated, which makes it feel that much more realistic.
