Tess is a game nerd! - that's 1) utterly adorable and 2) so totally on-point I could just hug her! I can even see her file, carefully maintained with every character stat sheet she's ever rolled up AND all the various loot and magical items they've acquired. I'm only surprised she's not the CM (or maybe she is - hope we'll get a chance to enjoy her Friday night get-together...) Just when I think she couldn't be more adorkable...

She very briefly thinks about C&C back in episode 1 and I'm looking forward to showing a bit of it :) Not really a spoiler, but if you don't want anything even remotely spoiler-adjacent feel free to stop reading: I think Tess tried being a Crypt Master once, for a one-shot, but the general consensus (which she fully agrees with) was that she doesn't have the flair for drama necessary to lead an engaging campaign.

Oh, very much not; a good CM has to be more than a little bit of a storyteller - a bard, if you will - and that's so not Tess. Tess is more like the bard's accountant. Not that that's a bad thing - even bards need to keep their books in order!
