The girl-who-plays-an-instrument story would be a romance/fantasy and this character would be the love interest, but I don't know if I want them to be a girl or a boy???? So I did  two super rough sketches to help me figure things out. I think I'm leaning towards a boy, it would be nice to have a main male character :)
