I re-read this chapter to see the edits. :) I don't quite remember what it was like before. The only thing that stumbled me was "the next autumn equinox", like why is the word "next" there? It's explained very shortly after why that one is special, but the wording seemed funny to me at first read. I thought maybe it's because I read it out of context, so I re-read 2.1 and 2.2 and whether the context or reading it again it read more smoothly. Part of it might be that I wasn't really paying attention to the season, so I wasn't sure what "next" meant in terms of time?

I reread from the start while looking for something else, and to me the "next" feels much like we'd say "next Christmas", to reference specifically the one coming up (as opposed to generally). I can't see Mira using more syllables when "next" would do.
