My thoughts on Sunati and Austen's kid:

Austen wouldn't want to risk passing Egan's syndrome onto a kid - she's made her peace with it but she doesn't think anyone else should have to - so the baby would be Sunati's egg + a randomly selected donor (from a vetted donor list). The baby would have been birthed via an artificial womb. Sunati is delighted by the concept of breastfeeding and is currently using a lactation mod.

(ETA: Just now noticed that I somehow failed to draw Sunati's butt. Whoops!)

Notes on Puppy:

Puppy's initial form was picked by Wisteria when she first contracted with them. Spirits who contract with children are typically given stuffed toys to inhabit (dog stuffed toys are recommended, because dogs have pleasant temperaments, but Wisteria insisted on a bird, and decided that as a compromise she would call the spirit she contracted with "Puppy'.)

The goal of Puppy's contract was for Wisteria to have a familiar spirit who would help heruntil she completes her education (and in return Puppy gets a tether to the material world, and Wisteria's magical energy to draw upon.)
When Wisteria completes her apprenticeship the contract between her and Puppy will be complete. Puppy chooses to remain in the material world with Wisteria, and so they form a new contract, and Wisteria creates a new body for them to inhabit. This is meant to be some sort of wire-frame thing? It is not very well drawn, alas ^^;

I too really enjoy seeing Sunati and Austen again as grownups. Nice haircut, Austen!

It's so great to see these familiar faces again <3 I did not expect Austen with short hair but it's very cool, and all those explanations about them adopting too! Also, wow, all this explains why "Puppy" - I like it. And this new Puppy form is really great * - * It makes them feel more mature too, although I'm sure they're somehow still the sarcastic yet affectionate spirit they were. (for some reason I forgot to take note of the stream date for May and missed it without realizing, darn)
