There's a character limit for the poll text so I want to talk a bit more about Hibike Euphonium because it's an anime I highly recommended but also it's pretty queerbaity, and sometimes I get very annoyed about this, and so I want to recommend it with this caveat.

Hibike Euphonium is  a very thoughtful, compelling story about the teens in a highschool band, and their relationships with music, each other, and themselves. The art is stunning, the atmosphere of the show is super immersive. As is common in anime, most of the focus characters are girls, and there's a decent about of shipping fodder amongst both main and side characters, but no explicit romance.

My understanding is that the anime is based on a series of novels that had a het romance for the main character, but the anime crew decided to leave this romance out because they thought that that the relationship between the main character and the girl who sparks her passion for band was the most interesting part of the story.

This relationship is coded very very romantically, but then the possibility of romance is also completely shut down, so it feels very queerbaity. To be fair to the anime crew, the anime doesn't shut down the possibility that the MC is queer, and one possible reading of her romantic arc is that she falls for a girl she later realises is straight, and then goes on to fall for another girl who might reciprocate. 

So yeah, if you haven't watched Hibike Euphonium it's great, I love it, it's a wonderful story about people coming together and making music. There is a lot of f/f subtext. You are now warned about the queerbaiting :)
