I really need to come up with better post titles :)

I have been practicing drawing heads at a variety of angles between straight-on and side-on. This isn't completely consistent, but it's decent, and that's a lot of different angles which I'm very happy about! Hopefully with practice I won't constantly default to the same standard 3/4 angle ^^;

And a bit of style testing. I'd previously got feedback from webtoon that they thought the art style I was using might be a bit confusing for readers on a small mobile screen. I thought they meant I should aim for neater art, but have since been told the looseness is fine (yay, I think looseness is very expressive!) and to try having more visual contrast between characters and the background (eg. with colour choice, brightness etc.)

For the above I started with the following 3D models:

I used Clip Studio Paint to generate lines from the background model, and proceeded to mostly ignore the character models as I sketched over them (but still, having placed the models in a 3D space was so much help with getting my head around how the volume of sitting bodies works, I've always found this hard! The more I use 3D character models the more I feel that I'm learning things from them I've never been able to learn from photo references. So that's nice!)

After being very happy with how the above turned out, I proceeded to redraw the boobs picture with the loose lines/colours, because why not~

This has so much more depth than the previous attempt, I think. I'm happy!
Also, I read somewhere that all-caps text is harder to read (esp. for dyslexic folk) than normal text, so I'm considering using that for dialogue/narration unless all-caps seems important? Maybe? It does look a bit weird to me, and I don't want it to look weird to readers, even if it technically is easier to read? I don't know, still thinking about this :)

And finally here are two sketches for a possible graphic novel pitch I might send to traditional publishers, because I have an agent, and that possible door is open to me!
