Hello!

This month's sketch request streams will be on:
Sunday the 17th, 1pm-3pm GMT
Sunday the 24th, 6pm-8pm GMT

Please leave requests in the comments :)

Please provide links to visual references if you're asking me to draw characters I'm unfamiliar with (otherwise I'll google the characters and assume that whatever google images shows me is an accurate reference.

I will prioritize requests from people who have not recently made a request.

Good whatever time of day to you :) What I want to ask / talk about is _not_ a request. More of a curiosity. You wonderfully draw "normal" (ugh, "norm" is a social construct) and "full-figured"/"plump" people. You also have nice arguments in Always Human against forced diet on people who are not naturally slim. Yay! But how about those who are naturally slim? From what I've seen, you have no problem with drawing different body types (including those we don't consider human, like that lovely turlte-lady) -- but faces are always more or less round-cheeked. So it might have been a cool challenge to draw a slim face. With prominent cheekbones and/or narrow jawline, or anyhow else without round cheeks. What do you think?

And same to you :) That's an interesting thing to think about! I'll cheerfully admit that I'm not very good with facial shape diversity - I think I'm doing okay with noses/eye shapes, but my chins and cheeks get very same-facey. I do think of some characters as having very little facial fat (Sunati, Killian, Amal, Josette) and others as being chubby cheeked (Austen, Rae, Wisteria, Cecily, Lachlan) but I've always thought of this in terms of making the chubby cheeked characters rounder in comparison to the slim-faced characters, rather than making the slim-faced characters more... pointy? But this definitely is a thing to think about - being able to make characters more rugged/sharp would be a good skill to have. Thank you! I will think about and process this :)

Crap I missed the first stream this month! Is there still time to get a request in?

walkingnorth

I probably won't be able to get to it this month - but feel free to leave your request here anyway, just in case I find I do have the time. If I don't have the time I'll make sure to prioritize your request for next month's stream :)

Alright, thanks for letting me know~ I'll put my request here after I'm done with work.

Shoot, I never wrote my request here... I thought I made it already but I was wrong. Anyways I'm a bit in the mood to see my D&D character Saria (boy how many times have you done TRPG OCs by now haha). https://www.dropbox.com/s/vz8g5fhggitur7h/Saria%20Waessys.jpg?dl=0 This is a commission someone else did; I'm not a big fan of it because her skin tone and sword colors are off, see https://www.dropbox.com/s/5p4tnpt3dqw155c/saria%20pixel%20art%20armored0000%20big.png?dl=0 and https://www.dropbox.com/s/qavublcefcnzrur/sariprotect.png?dl=0 to get the idea. As for pose, how about one where she's spinning her double-sword in front of her?

Sure, I'll add this to the queue for March :) I'm not quite sure what colour her sword is meant to be? She seems to have a bow and arrow in the other picture.

Bow and arrow is sort of her ranged secondary weapon.
