Background reference from the sketchup 3D warehouse

Lines!

Laying down some rough colours. The lines, the foreground and the background/sky are all in separate layer folders.

I added the speech bubbles on top, in the hope that having them visible now would lead to a better composition with regards to colouring (this didn't work, as I kept on changing my mind about where I wanted the speech bubbles to be, whoops.)

Started adding detail to the colouring, all on standard layers.

More detail to the colouring for the foreground, all on a multiply layer.

Final details/colour adjustments (coloured the lineart, pained a bit on top of everything, blurred the horizon).
