Adriene was born a slave on the planet Orvax IV. She spent most of her youth with her appropriated sister, Estaa, during her stay there. Hard work with little sleep or food in a world of filth was all she had ever known. As she grew older, both she and her sister were transported to the pleasure-trafficking business, the two of them inseparable. She, being human, and Estaa, being Zabrak, make them a unique pairing for prospective clients. Neither of them were very good prospects, always able to “talk” themselves out of bad situations.

At age 8, yet to have a buyer, she was put on display for the annual “Slave Fair” that took place regularly on Orvax IV. That was where Cardew Sinduul found them.

Recognizing their unique talents and force-sensitivity, Cardew purchased the pair without a second glance. A ruthless and sinister Sith, Cardew had no problem pitting the pair of force-sensitive sisters against one another as “training”. The winner he would make his apprentice.

It started slowly, eroding the strong trust the sisters had built over their youth. He would manipulate them, telling half-truths to one, then the other. He would frequently tell both of them, in private, that they were their favorite. In time, he made himself the most important person to both of them, rather than each other as it was before. In time, he forced them to manipulate and eventually torture one another. What was an unbreakable bond of love became intense hatred. Finally, when he had trained them in the skills of assassination, espionage, and lightsaber use – he pitted them against one another in a duel to the death.

Estaa won the duel – but was unwilling to slay her sister. Adriene ran away – using every skill she had been taught to elude her sister and escape the planet. Cardew Sinduul waits for the conclusion, ever patient as Estaa stalks Adriene across the galaxy.
