Hi guys,

AD here. I've been spending the past few weeks taking a step back and trying to improve quality. The little things that make my stuff stand out from other people's stuff. Taking more time with textures, lighting, and color.

Meet Serif. This is the first of a new wave of models I am working on for 2018-2019. She has substantially improved hair and eye quality, and these will be reflected in future models as well.

I think I've kind of gotten lost in all of the software upgrades flying all over the place at such a rapid pace that I've lost a bit of the artistic quality. Fortunately, I think I'm finally starting to master them again.

That said, I'll probably be working on some upgrades to several models and posting them here for you to see with the latest techniques.

What's her skin shader setup like? (if you're willing to share). Which PBR mode are you using? Are you using refraction? Are you using a normal map?

I'm not willing to share that, but thank you for your interest. It's propitiatory information I've developed over several years, and really the only thing I have that sets me apart from so many others. Well, that and my character design creativity.

that's fair and certainly understandable. I'm trying to get a good handle on the Iray Uber shader specifically related to skin textures so I always ask when I see a good one. BTW I forgot to ask did you postwork this pic at all or is it a direct render result?
