Afternoon patrons! This month we've got updates for Supergal, and Vagrant Blade.

Supergal:

-Maris has been given her next followup on the ropes. Press down while Sue is hanging, and Maris will start it by sitting on her face.

Next update, will give Sue her next rope followup. After this, will pull away from the ropes for a bit and look at some other mechanical stuff and perhaps refine some things. Will do more rope stuff later, looking at the reversal suggestions in particular.

Vagrant Blade:

-Initial animations for Alleyne have been added. For her, they occur once she is knocked down.

Next update will give her armor break states, and her last animations for the time being, before we get into Cattelya who I believe is the next character.

You can find these latest files here.

All other files have just been sent out. I f you missed them this month, you can catch them again next month.

The idea of reversals are great because it will make matches less linear in a way. The battles can have a "fated" quality after someone's health is too low. Having the ability to turn the tide with something well timed or a button spam will make the matches more unpredictable.

Verdonator

Yes, I like that, but I'd rather have timing than more button mash as the mashing can get really excessive.

John Smith

Agree with you there. Button mashing to strike, button mashing to grapple, and button mashing to reverse can get over whelming

bomb

Noted. I'll try to tone down the mashing a bit going forward.

Actually, sitting down and looking at it for a bit...the button mashing in Supergal is not that bad at all. Grappling is already timing and direction based and pretty easy, and you don't really have to button mash to attack. You do have to button mash to escape, but I prefer that. Still, I don't mind making the reversals timing based, but I actually don't feel like there is too much button mashing.

John Smith

Supergal is in a great place right now for sure. I like the idea of timing based reversals. Variety is the spice of life.
