It's that time again! Not monthly polling! That's coming, but not just yet... No, it's time for you to listen to my spiel about what my plans are for future and changes that are going to be made. Just been doing some thinking, and having mostly finished DOS, I feel like a few things need to happen going forward, as I begin to prioritize getting back into Unity. Some things you might like. Some, not so much.

First , I'm retiring the piratetripper. Because it's this rather archaic thing that's over a decade old at this point, and it seemed like a much better idea at the time it was conceived. Really, it's primary function is to keep games up-to-date now, and even that's somehow iffy for a few people. Furthermore, in the long term, I don't want it to keep hindering people who truly support my work. So starting today, all games on the website will no longer be using the PT. DOS will use the PT for a bit longer, but when I'm done with updates, that will change as well. If a file has somehow stopped working for you, message me and throw in your paypal e-mail just in case, to get the file that has nothing to do with the PT.

Second thing, loyalty rewards as they are now are going to change. By that, I mean that the criteria for attaining them is going out the window. This does NOT mean that everybody is getting loyalty rewards, on the contrary, it might mean that I'll end up being a bit more selective. The thing is, I don't want to quantify "loyalty" anymore with those conditions. Going forward, loyalty rewards will be just as random, but I'll only send them out to "sincere patrons who have been with me a while" as per my discretion. They're also going to get much less focus for the time being, because as I've said, I want to start focusing on Unity. I'm not going to say when I send them out, or who I've sent them to. It's just something that will happen, and loyalty rewards can still be just about anything. Don't ask about loyalty rewards either. If you get some, great! If not, not a big deal. You might get something tomorrow, or next week...or next year. I will shortly however, send out a batch of all the loyalty rewards available now, in accordance with the patrons who fall under the current conditions. If you think I missed you, please send me a PM and I'll get to you.

Edit: For the loyalty reward compilation that just went out, I actually forgot to include the utility.dll file. Just copy this file from any game (DOS or other), and stick it in the same folder. Games should work fine afterwards.

Third thing, the current mini games are the last mini games that will be updated based on the current polling system. So what usually happens is, the three games are updated until they fall out of popularity, or they get to the point where I don't feel there is much left to add. Once that happens, we hold a poll to determine some new mini games to throw into the fray. Up until now that has been fine, but now that I'm going to try to do more Unity, which is an architecture that I've yet to fully get a handle on, not to mention I'm trying to better grasp 3D modeling, I just don't think it's in anybody's best interest for me to also be putting a ton of time into developing on Flash as well. So once we get done with these current mini games, the three game update system is going to cease.

I do realize that this has been the backbone of my patreon thus far, and as such, I already am working on something to replace that system. I think this idea is something that you'll enjoy, and while it will be based in flash, it will require less focus overall as to allow me to focus more on Unity. As I start getting more accustomed to Unity, I'll start posting progress posts among other things.

The final thing, Demon Tale will not be as long as I originally anticipated. I had originally intended for Demon Tale to be around MBR's length or longer. However, I really don't feel up to making another big flash project. Been pondering about this for a while, and again, I' m really looking forward to getting more into Unity this year.

That guy

Can't say I'm sad about PirateTripper leaving, already had a few headaches over that I had to message you over. I look forward to your continued work, as usual!
