So I've been putting thought towards a new featured game, now that MBR is more or less completed. Truth be told, I'm a little reluctant to start a new featured game, while sitting on 4 loyalty reward games. So the plan I have in mind now is to consolidate things. Basically, I'm going to combine the driving features for Domina Party and Queen of All-Stars into one game, those being the customization I had planned for Domina Party, and the cameos I had planned for Queen of All Stars. This game will start as a loyalty reward, and eventually double as a featured game. For those of you who submitted characters for Queen of All Stars, some of those characters will still come into use in this new game.

As some of you can probably tell, I used Armored Arena as a template. However, I'm attempting some different animation and formatting techniques. I like the result so far.


As usual, the poll is here to decide what you want to see for May's release. After this month, I may make an executive decision for next month's release.

How complete were Domina Party and Queen of All Stars? Think those builds might ever see a release, even as bare bones versions? I was quite looking forward to Queen of All Stars since I was under the impression it was going to be a one-on-one game which are my favourite. That said, the new game seems promising and I'm interested in seeing where you're taking us all next!

That's a good idea, you have less project to manage and more time to focus on features. I like the idea! I like the concept of customization and, if possible, multiple fighting styles/weapons (bow, spear...). I'm glad close ups are making a return from MBR. I would make them toggleable if the player wants to enjoy the original animation.

Do you plan to update MBR at some point to add close ups to other characters?

I was looking forward to Queen of All-Stars as well. I think the consensus was through time that there was minimal interest for Armored Arena, so to see it just brought back after being voted away... not too thrilled. I am here for the 1 on 1 fighting styled games, not so much for the side scrollers. If memory serves, the last two featured games were side scrollers as well? MBR and Matsume were the last two I believe, and feel free to correct me if I am inaccurate with my recollection.

I did not make FandelTales O_O'. Please don't start that rumor! I've seen that FandelTales video and it's great, but I really just want to use the characters hairstyle/helmet.

Thanks Aeon. Those games are not very complete at all unfortunately. It happens when I can't come up with enough starting ideas that entice me to push a game forward, and I just end up sitting on it. I will say that whatever you would have gotten from both Domina Party as well as Queen of All Stars, you will probably get from this game. There will be 1v1 scenarios in the form of boss fights or something else. About the only thing you'll possibly miss is the wrestling theme, but you've got Work 2-3 and Wrestling Dynamic(When I finally get to it), for that.

I wouldn't call it a FandelTales game. I'm just using the characters hairstyle and scarf to start....Oh and I guess the enemies kind of look like those things, but they're not carbon copies...

...Your recollection is correct. However, I'm merely using Armored Arena as a template. Saying that this new game is outright "Armored Arena" is completely over simplifying things. For your 1v1 fix, you've got Supergal, PvP, Work 2-3, and Wrestling Dynamic on the roster right now. That's 4 1v1 games, against 2 side scrollers as far as games currently being developed are concerned.

Maybe can make a small suggestion? Make Queen of All-Stars be the featured game and loyal patreon reward would be more stuff added to reki? Course they wouldn't be every month,just when new stuff was added?

Reki updates as a loyalty reward would be a bad idea for two reasons. For one thing, it's already been sold on the website. A lot of people not a part of this patreon already own the game, and loyalty rewards are supposed to be patreon exclusive. If I update the game at this point, updates go out to everyone. Secondly, by the next time I update Reki, A LOT of time will have passed. Anybody whose ever starred at a project for 3 years will understand my feelings on that... Making Queen of All Stars into a featured game is a bad idea, because I don't see myself having the drive to finish it, especially if I feel the project I'm working on now is that much better.
