It's interesting listening to this currently. Here, the weather is warm and muggy, compared to the cool bite of Winter that dawns upon America. It's a different context really, listening to a snazzy, jazzy piece like this with that warmth in mind. The latter half of this piece does actually pair well with that thought, slightly more bouncy and fun than the earlier parts of the song, which feels more somber and perhaps focused on that chill. As the song continues, I feel like it was designed to warm the listener up, and by the end it certainly accomplishes that. For a gentle little improvised piece, it's quite deep.
