What a year. What a decade. Long story short, my ass got kicked. While I have been incredibly fortunate all things considered, my mental (and sometimes physical) health has been driven into the gutter by the ongoing pandemic and a very demanding job. I was definitely not able to devote as much time to myself or my hobbies as I would have liked, and I am incredibly thankful to everyone who stuck around with me despite my rare posting and late reward mailings this year.

If we’re being honest, I don’t know how much better 2022 is going to be. Some changes have been made at work that should take a lot of my plate (i.e. I am no longer producer for half the studio), but at the same time there are things scheduled for next year that I know will take a lot of time and energy from me. Plus, the pandemic is still around and infecting more people than ever, even here in California. I’m hoping to have more time and more energy to work on cool projects, but if I can’t, I promise to be more liberal with my use of Patreon’s vacation mode.

I have big plans for the Imperial Library and personal projects in the next year, not to mention Morrowind’s 20th anniversary, and I do my darnest to make them happen!

And now, a look back at the last six months, which I didn't round up before.

July

Game Data Repository goes live on TIL. It contains text and spreadsheet files extracted from every TES game that lets you do that sort of thing, and is super useful for finding in-game references when you don't have time to load up the Creation Kit or scrub through a Youtube video.

October

Snarky twitter thread about just letting people have fun with their OCs.

November

Really cool Skyrim 10 gift box! Still not sure what to do with the skateboard deck, but the shirt is very comfy.

I decided to make a limited run of my very first big blockprint, the ALMSIVI based on concept art by MK. As part of this, figured out a new way to register secondary colors using the Glowforge and transparent acrylic.

For Skyrim's 10th anniversary, Bethesda sent us their official dictionary for the Dragon language. I was in charge of putting it up on the Library.

Rant about graphics quality, art direction decisions, and the lack of jungle in Cyrodiil.

I capitalized on the meme and yaasified various Elder Scrolls men in this twitter thread

December

I painted this in response to the latest bullshit from Rowling, and apparently forgot to post it to Patreon:

It's been another fuck-awful, cheesegrater-to-the-eyelids year of Suffering, you've done an excellent job and worked incredibly, ungodly hard in the process. Thanks for making things a bit brighter.
