I played Morrowind for the first time not long after moving to the US. I don't know if it was my incomplete grasp of English combined with the huge blocks of text, or my inexperience with open world RPGs, or just a lack of attention span, but, when tasks with finding Cauis in Balmora... I went completely the wrong way. Instead of the relatively safe of the guided road I climbed a bunch of mountains and found myself in the deadly Ashlands, making my way through storms and running away from all manner of wildlife until I stumbled on Ald-ruhn. Its crustacean architecture has had a special place in my heart ever since.
I decided to experiment a bit and did my first linocut gradient in this piece. I also chose to ink right over the stamp pad ink that I had used to test print, which resulted in a cool red underlayer in the sky. This effect is most visible in the earlier prints (like the missprint below) and disappears by the end of the series (like the one above).
