Nereid (Patreon)

I made a Nereid coloring sheet for Mermay! Grab the full size version here. I love working with just line, and this was a perfect excuse. 

Steps below:

Digital sketch. The pose was roughly based on the famous little mermaid statue in Copenhagen, but moved on from there (you can see it slightly in the back still). 

Turned all the sketch lines blue, lowered the opacity, and printed it on regular paper. Then drew right on top of the print with a fineliner. Once scanned, the blue is easily removed using the hue/saturation adjustment in Photoshop. From there it's just a bit of cleanup and layers tweaking before it's all done. 

And here's a quick color job I did with markers to test the whole thing out!
