This video is Lesson 6 of the 'Learning to see' term - in this lesson we'll continue to explore tonal shapes, this time tightening up our measurement of distances between points. Make sure you practice for at least 2 hours before the next lesson to get the full benefit of the lesson - the more time you spend practicing the more you'll get from the processes and exercises.

You will need:

  • Your drawing medium of choice
  • Something to draw on

Your assignments are:

  • Make 2 blocks-in, one using sight size measuring and the other using comparative measuring (30 mins each)
  • Make a sight size block ready to add tone next lesson (1 hr +)
  • Optional: Repeatedly practice block-in
