Last March we set up this Patreon to save our community - and it worked! We'd have all been out of work by May 2020 without the support of our community. This Patreon has kept all of the Draw tutors & models working and has allowed us to set up this online life drawing resource, which will continue to develop long into the future. While this Patreon has helped us to protect the models and tutors at Draw, we lost our studio of 10 years last summer, so we've started a Kickstarter campaign to raise money for a new space and to allow us to reopen in-person classes in Brighton. Here's a little FAQ about it - click on the link above for more details or watch this short video here. You can also have your say about what kinds of sessions you'd like to see running at the Draw studio and when you'd like to come to them by filling in this questionnaire here

How does it work?

Kickstarter is a platform for crowdsourcing founding - you can back our project by pledging a one-off payment that will help us set up the new studio. In return you get rewards - we have everything from pin badges, to signed copies of my new book to original artwork by Draw tutors available for different levels of pledge. If we reach the goal by the 17th May, we are able to fund the new studio, you get charged and you get your rewards in the post! If we don't reach our goal, you won't be charged and we won't be able to return to in-person drawing sessions.

How is it different to the Patreon?

The monthly income from your generous support here on Patreon helps the people at Draw, where this Kickstarter is a one-off campaign to establish a new space for the community. Although we raise a lot of money here on the Patreon, that money is paid to 40 people a month, funding the online life class, tutorials, blogs, interviews and photo-sets. We'll continue running classes and creating new life drawing resources for this Patreon regardless of whether we are able to re-open in person, so there's no risk that you're lose anything you're enjoying on here - in fact we've been shooting some (AMAZING) new reference photos today, so it's only going to get better.

How will this benefit people who want to draw in-person?

If you're in, or near Brighton and want to see in-person sessions reopen, then it's simple - we need your support to do that and we need funding to get a new studio set up. That's what the Kickstarter is for. If you're just keen to make a no-strings cash donation, you can email for our BACs detail, or do it through our Paypal link here - but we'd rather you did it though Kickstarter so that we can send you lovely things in the post!

What if you can't visit in person?

Now that we have such a wonderful, international community, those of you outside of Brighton might not be able to visit the new studio. You might want to back the Kickstarter in order to get the rewards, or to help us set up better online streaming facilities in the new studio. To be honest, just continuing to supporting us on here is amazing.
