New rewards & Draw Patreon news (Patreon)

Thank you all for your sustained support - over the past 6 weeks the Draw Patreon has been the main source of income for many of the models and tutors at Draw. Although we initially used the money raised to pay freelancers for canceled work we have almost entirely switched to commissioning new tutorials, articles and artwork to send out to you in thanks. Until we're able to re-open Draw we will be running as an online platform and we've been making plans to expand and improve what we're offering. The longer we all spend in lockdown the more important it feels to be able to support our life models and maintain connection with the drawing community, so thank you for allowing us to do that! Although we are still running at a monthly loss, we have a received a government grant to make up for that short fall and this month have distributed £8400 in cancelation payments, emergency payments and new work to 42 artists, models & tutors. Excitingly, that also means we can offer new benefits to you all this month...

Online drawing sessions

In response to your requests we're going to be starting live, online life drawing classes via Zoom from this evening! The weekly 7-8pm Wednesday sessions will be open to Life Drawing Tier patrons and above, with the last Wednesday of the month (including tonight) open to all patrons. You can find full details here. Our model tonight will be Katie and a Meeting Code & Password will be sent to all of you at 6:30pm this evening if you'd like to join us - check the event listing on the Draw website to make sure you're prepared (there is no need to pre-book). Alongside all the usual benefits, in June we'll be publishing the issue no. 1 of the Draw Journal! This mini-newspaper will collate some of the ideas that we've explored in our four terms focusing on The Body, with a collection of commissioned writing, interviews and artworks. 

July 

By mid June-early July we are planning to release our first set of instructional Youtube videos, the beginnings of a new, ongoing virtual drawing course.
