My initial reaction/hunch to what was happening with Ulaf in episode 9 of andor was that cassian and maybe even melshi were poisoning him in order to force a new prisoner for the escape. I based this off of the fact that we’re supposed to see cassian as really dark right now and that he only turns good during rogue one. Obviously I’m glad cassian has already kind of ‘redeemed’ himself but do you think something will happen to him to make him go dark again so his redemption in rogue one still feels earned?

I definitely think we'll see Cassian do bad things for a good reason. Like shooting Tivik to keep information quiet. Cassian will probably act like Luthen in season two, and he'll need to earn his redemption.
